The house is on the cliff behind the 13th-century church, at the front of this photo. While it is less than a hundred yards from the centre of the village, it is totally secluded and peaceful.
La Maison Panoramique
We are Julia and David, the owners of La Maison Panoramique, an amazing stone cottage perched on a cliff above the Lot River in the French village of St-Cirq-Lapopie. In August 2013 we vacationed in St Cirq Lapopie, staying in what is now our home, and we completely fell in love with the house, the village, the region, and the people, so we bought the house in January of 2014. We go to St Cirq in April to restock supplies for rental guests and take care of any maintenance that needs to be done, and then again in August for our own vacation
We delight in sharing our home. It is available for rental by the week (Friday to Friday). The village is on a steep hill and the house is not suitable for people with mobility challenges. Due to its proximity to the cliff, we cannot accept families with children under the age of 8 years. The house can accommodate up to 6 persons in two main bedrooms and an attic, which has 2 single beds. The house is ideal for a family or two couples.
